Abstract

A screw compressor includes: a male rotorand a female rotorincluding a rotor tooth sectionthat has multiple helical teeth, the male rotorand the female rotorrotating in engagement with each other; a casingincluding a main casingwith a boreformed to accommodate the male rotorand the female rotor, and a discharge-side casingclosing a discharge side of the bore; and a discharge passageincluding a discharge portthat opens in a rotational axis direction of the male rotorand the female rotoron a bore side surface of the discharge-side casing, compressed gas flowing from the discharge portcirculating in the discharge passage. The male rotorand the female rotorare configured such that a discharge-side end surfaceof the rotor tooth sectionserves as a discharge-side distal end of the male rotoror the female rotorin the rotational axis direction. The discharge passageincludes an enlarged flow passage sectionformed such that the enlarged flow passage sectionextends from the discharge portin the rotational axis direction of the male rotorand the female rotorand that a flow passage cross-sectional area is gradually enlarged from the discharge portto a downstream side in a compressed gas flow direction.
