Abstract

A head () for an oral care implement () has a mounting surface () comprising at least one tuft of a first type () and at least one tuft of a second type (), the at least one tuft of the first type () and the at least one tuft of the second type () each having a cross-sectional area extending in a plane substantially perpendicular to a longitudinal axis. The cross-sectional area of the tuft of the first type () is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the tuft of the second type (). The at least one tuft of the first type () comprises flagged filaments having split free ends, and the at least one tuft of the second type () comprises filaments having a substantially circular cross-sectional area extending in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis and having an end-rounded free end.
