Abstract
Systems and methods may provide transmitting and switching transmission of an evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service (eMBMS) from a first radio access technology [] to a second radio access technology []. Embodiments may provide a method encompassed by receiving the eMBMS service and at least one control channel parameter through the first radio access technology []; detecting availability of the second radio access technology []; transmitting the at least one configuration parameter relating to the second radio access technology []; checking authentication of the second radio access technology [] to receive the eMBMS service; and switching the evolved multimedia broadcast multicast service from the first radio access technology [] to the second radio access technology []. Further, the switching is based on one of at least one configuration parameter, an authentication report and combination thereof, by one of the user equipment [], the network entity [] and combination thereof.
