Abstract

In a residential automation system () including a terminal (), a gateway (), at least one remote controller () having at least one key and at least one peripheral device (), a configuring method has a configuration step, performed by the terminal (), including recognizing (E) the gateway (), the at least one remote controller () and the at least one peripheral device () and associating them; creating (E) a configuration information including control commands involving the at least one peripheral device (); and sharing the configuration information with the gateway () and with the at least one peripheral device (). The associated gateway () and at least one peripheral device () are in constant synchronization with the terminal () during at least a part of the configuration step.
