Abstract
A suction device () having a suction port () exposed outside, a flow passage (to) communicating with the suction port (), and a discharge port () through which fluid is discharged from the flow passage (to) includes a diaphragm () having one principal surface facing a pump chamber () and the other principal surface opposed to the one principal surface, and a piezoelectric element () attached to the diaphragm () to displace the one principal surface of the diaphragm () relative to the pump chamber (). The one principal surface and the other principal surface of the diaphragm () face in a direction different from a direction to which the suction port () faces.
