Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). According to various embodiments, a relay terminal comprises at least one transicever and at least one processor operativley coupeld to the at least one transicever. The at least one processor is configured to broadcast a search message, receive information for indicating at least one relay terminal of a plurality of relay terminals having transmitted search messages to the remote UE, identify a second relay terminal among the at least one relay terminal, and transmit identification information for the identified second relay terminal to the remote terminal.
