Abstract

A phase-shifting circuitincludes a signal conductorthat transmits signals, and a dielectric bodythat is disposed to overlap the signal conductor, said phase-shifting circuit changing the phase of the signals by changing the area of an overlapping sectionwhere the signal conductorand the dielectric bodyoverlap each other. The phase-shifting circuit further includes a transformer unitfor matching impedance between the overlapping sectionand non-overlapping sectionwhere the signal conductorand the dielectric bodydo not overlap each other, said transformer unit being provided at end sections of the dielectric body, said end sections being on the input side and output side of the signals. The transformer unitincludes a high-impedance sectionthat is provided on the overlapping sectionside, and a low-impedance section, which is provided on the non-overlapping sectionside of the high-impedance section, and which has a lower characteristic impedance than the high-impedance section
