Abstract

A mixing valve () includes a valve body () having a hot fluid inlet (), a cold fluid inlet (), a mixed fluid outlet (), and a cavity () in the valve body () between the inlets () and the outlet (). Mixing valve () includes a liner () positioned in valve body () and a valve member () movable therein between a first position restricting the flow of hot fluid and a second position. Liner () includes a downstream valve seat () that, when engaged by valve member (), restricts flow of hot fluid past valve member ().
