Abstract
A method for controlling an electrical load by means of pulse width modulation, (PWM) includes specifying a setpoint switching frequency fand a setpoint duty ratio dand determining the carrier frequency fof a radio transmitter. The actual switching frequency fof the PWM is adapted to the carrier frequency fof the radio transmitter in such a way that a multiple k*fof the actual switching frequency fis equal to the carrier frequency fwith an integer factor k. The actual switching frequency fis set to the value closest to the setpoint switching frequency ffor which the amplitude of the harmonics k*fin the harmonic spectrum of the actual switching frequency fis smaller than the amplitudes of their closest lower (k−1)*fand upper (k+1)*fadjacent harmonics.
