Abstract

A tamper-evident closure () for a container, the closure comprising: a shell comprising a first shell part (A) and a second shell part (B); and a tamper-evident overcap, the overcap comprising a cap (A) which is fixed to the exterior of the first shell part and a tamper-evident member (B) which is releasably connected to the cap (A) and releasably located around the exterior of at least part of the second shell part (B), such that the first and second shell parts (A,B) cannot be separated unless the member (B) is released, and thereafter the cap (A) is removable together with the first shell part (A).
