Abstract

A medical instrument () designed in particular as an endoscope () has a main body () and, formed on the main body (), an electrical and/or electronic switching device () with at least one button () for actuating the switching device () and the medical instrument (). The switching device () is provided on its outside () with a cover (), which is integrally bonded to the main body () of the medical instrument () in order to produce a tight connection. Provision is further made that the cover () has at least one outwardly directed bulge (), on which the at least one button () of the switching device () is formed.
