Abstract
The present disclosure includes proteins toxic to Zebra mussels, its method of production, and uses thereof. The protein was isolated from whole cell broth ofCL145A via anion exchange chromatographic fractionation. The protein was found to be a secondary metabolite with highest expression at the fermentative production harvest stage.
