Abstract
A device and method for repairing a mitral valve leaflet. The deviceincludes a bodyhaving an annular walland at least one aperturethrough the annular wall. A deployment assemblymounted on the body includes at least one grasping wirearranged for sliding movement in the aperture. Movement of the deployment assemblyto a deployed position relative to the body causes a free end of the grasping wireto project out from the annular wallthrough the aperture, and movement of the deployment assembly to a retracted position relative to the body causes the free end of the grasping wireto not project out from the annular wall.
