Abstract

A reposable endoscopic surgical clip applier includes a handle assembly () configured to releasably engage at least two different endoscopic assemblies (). The handle assembly () is configured such that a ratcheting function thereof is disabled upon engagement of an endoscopic assembly () therewith that is not intended for ratcheting use and such that the ratcheting function is enabled upon engagement of an endoscopic assembly () therewith that is intended for ratcheting use. Endoscopic assemblies () for use with the handle assembly () are also provided.
