Abstract

A first communications device () and a method therein for Device-to-Device (D2D) communication with a second communications device () using a first Radio Access Technology (RAT) or a second RAT. The first and second communications devices are operating in a communications network (). The first communications device transmits 5 the second communications device, by means of the first RAT, information relating to a proximity service provided by the second RAT. Thereby the information enables the second communications device to determine whether to use the first RAT or the proximity service provided by the second for D2D communication with the first communications device.
