Abstract
A fuel cell stack FS includes: a stack A that includes a single cells C that are stacked, each of the single cells including a framethat holds an outer periphery of a membrane electrode assemblyand a pair of separatorssandwiching the membrane electrode assemblyand the frameand a casethat houses the stack A. The framecomprises a protrusionthat protrudes outward from an outer periphery of a frame bodyA beyond an outer peripheral edge of the pair of separatorsA protrusion length of the protrusionis greater than at least a gap between the frameand one of the pair of separatorsand the protrusionis bendable with respect to the frame bodyA. The protrusions prevent a contact between the separatorsof the single cell C and a contact between the end faces of the separatorsand the caseso as to prevent a short circuit of the single cell C.
