Abstract
A driving method for a liquid crystal apparatus of the invention wherein at least a counter electrode of a plurality of pixel electrodes and the counter electrode is covered with an insulating film, the method including applying an alternating current voltage to a plurality of pixels, the alternating current voltage being set in a manner that first regions in which a center potential VCis offset to a high potential side and second regions in which a center potential VCis offset to a low potential side, with reference to a counter electrode potential Vcom applied to the counter electrode, are alternately arranged in a plane of a display region in which the plurality of pixels are arranged.
