Abstract

The invention relates to a method for operating an optoelectronic sensor () of a motor vehicle (), in which during a measuring cycle for detecting an object (), light pulses are emitted using an emitting unit () and the light pulses reflected from the object () are received using a receiving unit (), wherein a light source () of the emitting unit () is activated at determined emission points in time () to emit the light pulses and the light pulses are deflected using a deflection unit () of the emitting unit () within a predetermined angle range (), wherein the light source () is activated in such a way that time intervals between the determined emission points in time () differ from one another.
