Abstract
A rotary electric machine that includes a rotor and a stator and is cooled by a stream of air generated by at least one fan. The fan is driven by a main shaft of the machine or by its own drive system. The fan includes main blades () for generating a stream of cooling air and, upstream of said main blades, tins which at least partially cover coil heads of the stator in the axial direction.
