Abstract

To provide a stacked-cell battery that does not require formation of collector tabs and that has high production efficiency. The stacked-cell battery comprises a plurality of stacked unit cellsand has a cell regionand a collection region, the ends of the negative electrode collector layersand positive electrode collector layerson the collection regionside having shapes that do not include recesses or raised sections as viewed in the stacking direction, the collection regioncomprising negative electrode collecting sectionsthat are connected to each of the extensions of the negative electrode collector layersof the plurality of unit cells, and electrically connect them, but are not connected to the extensions of the positive electrode collector layers, and positive electrode collecting sectionsthat are connected to each of the extensions of the positive electrode collector layersof the plurality of unit cells, and electrically connect them, but are not connected to the extensions of the negative electrode collector layers
