Abstract

A monitoring camera which has a lock mechanism, which is capable to unlock a lenseven if power supply is stopped due to blackout. The lock mechanism includes a lock memberhaving a regionwhich is pushed by an operation memberin a state where a lock pin memberengages with the lens, a biasing memberbiasing the lock member, and magnetic force generating unitsgenerating magnetic forces by electro energization, to move against the biasing force so that the regionfaces the operation member. While the magnetic forces are not generated in a non-electro energization state, the operation memberpushes the regionand thus moves the lock memberand the lock pin memberso that the lock pin memberis released from the lens
