Abstract
A protective arrangement for protecting an electrical device against an overload current includes: an input at which a current is supplied to the protective arrangement by a power supply; an output via which the current (I) is transferred in the form of an output current to the electrical device; a safety switch in a power line between the input and the output, which safety switch disconnects the power line when a set tripping current is exceeded; and a current sensor which measures the current () in the power line when the electrical device is connected, the current sensor being able to set the tripping current, on the basis of the measured current (), to a value that is greater than the measured current () by a specified difference (Δ).
