Abstract
A charging apparatus () for a combustion engine, having a compressor () which has a compressor housing () in which a compressor wheel () is arranged, the compressor wheel being mounted on one end () of a rotor shaft (), and which has a compressor housing rear wall (); and having an electric motor () which has a stator winding () which surrounds a magnet (), which is arranged on the rotor shaft (), on the outside. The stator winding () is an iron-free stator winding, and the electric motor () is a brushless DC motor.
