Abstract

The invention relates to aryloxazolidinone compounds of formula I: wherein Y represents hydrogen or certain chemical groups. These compounds are useful antimicrobial agents effective against a variety of pathogens including inter alia Gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria.
