Abstract
A method directed to a hair soaking treatment for frizz reduction comprising immersion of consumer hair into an aqueous composition is disclosed. The corresponding composition comprises from about 0.25% to 20% of a moisture control material or mixture of moisture control materials wherein the moisture control material has structure selected from the group wherein R is hydrogen or metal ion, Ris methyl, ethyl, propyl, alkenyl or phenyl having less than 12 carbon atoms and wherein R, R, R, R, R, Rare hydrogen, methyl, ethyl, propyl, phenyl, hydroxyl, methoxy or ethoxy groups; an alcohol wherein R13 is an alkyl, alkenyl, straight or branched carbon chains and; and wherein R14 is hydrogen, hydroxyl, alkyl, methyl, ethyl and propyl wherein the structure of such alcohol contains less than 20 total carbon atoms; wherein Rcould be hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl, phenyl group and wherein the structure of the Rgroup contain less than 20 carbon atoms;
