Abstract
A belt buckle includes a casing () and an illumination system () present in the area of a locking tongue insertion opening (). The illumination system () includes a lamp () and a light conductor (') having a light emission area, and the light conductor (′) includes an annular portion (′) which surrounds at least a major part of the locking tongue insertion opening ().
