Abstract

A magnetic property of a rare earth permanent magnet containing neodymium, iron, and boron is enhanced. The present disclosure is a rare earth permanent magnet with a compound represented by a following expression as a main phase: NdFeBM. In the expression, M represents an element selected from any one of cobalt, beryllium, lithium, aluminum, and silicon and x satisfies 0.01≤x≤0.25. The main phase has an Nd—Fe—B layer and an Fe layer periodically and part of boron is substituted with any one or more types of elements selected from a group consisting of cobalt, beryllium, lithium, aluminum, and silicon.
