Abstract
An apparatus for thermoforming plastic containers comprising a thermoforming device () in turn comprising a shaped mould () and a closing element () movable relative to one another at least between a home position and a forming position, and an extracting device () for extracting the thermoformed container () from the shaped mould (), the extracting device comprising at least one gripper element () shiftable between a pickup position and a releasing position; in which when the shaped mould () and the closing element () are in an extracting position, the gripper element () in the pickup position can grip a projecting edge () of a projecting flange () of the container () for retaining it, whilst when the gripper element () is in the releasing position it can release a thermoformed container (), retained by it, onto a conveying device (); and in which the gripper element () and the shaped mould () are also movable relative to each other, starting from the position in which the gripper element () has gripped the edge () of the container (), along an extracting line, for causing the container () to come out of the shaped mould ().
