Abstract

A blower filter respirator system () has a filter element () for filtering ambient air (), a blower unit () and a face part () with a tube element ()—face part/tube combination ()—for feeding an amount of breathing air () to a user (). A pressure sensor () is on an outlet side () of the blower unit () measuring breathing air pressure values () by detecting a pressure difference on the outlet side () of the blower unit () against the ambient air (). A control unit () is configured to operate the blower unit () and control breathing air () and is configured to determine a desired pressure value () for current operation with the face part/tube combination () from operation-related properties () of the blower unit () and specific properties of the face part/tube combination () and for comparing with the current pressure value ().
