Abstract

An endoscope () having an operating handle comprising a handle housing () and an insertion tube () extending from said handle towards a distal end of the endoscope () and terminating in a tip part () at the distal end of the endoscope (). The endoscope () comprises a tool operating member () for operating a too () at the tip part (). A control means connects the tool operating member () and the tool (), so as to allow linear movement () of the tool in response to activation of said tool operating member (). The control means is adapted to also perform a compound movement of said tool () in response to activation of said tool operating member (), where the compound movement comprises a task movement in addition to said linear movement.
