Abstract

A nanofiber producing apparatusincludes a spinning solution jetting meanshaving a conductive nozzlefor jetting a stock spinning solution for nanofiber production, an electrodelocated away from the nozzle, a voltage generating meansgenerating a voltage between the nozzleand the electrode, an air jetting meanslocated at such a position as to direct an air jet between the nozzleand the electrode, and a nanofiber collecting means. The voltage generating meansgenerates a voltage so that the nozzleserves as a positive pole and the electrodeas a negative pole. The electrodeis covered, on almost the entire area of its side facing the nozzle, with a coveringhaving a dielectric exposed on the surface thereof. The dielectric exposed on the surface of the covering has a thickness of 0.8 mm or greater.
