Abstract
A component retention assembly is fixed to an associated part and configured to be engaged with a bracket of a component. The component retention assembly may include a pair of cantilever prongs and a clip. The clip includes a hinge and an extension that is removably disposed between the pair of cantilever prongs when the clip is in a closed position. A prong is disposed on an end of the extension opposite the hinge. The prong includes a retaining face configured to engage the bracket and retain the clip in the closed position.
