A wireless communication device operative to receive resource blocks (N) in a shiftable receiving frequency range (f) within a system bandwidth (N) for transmission of resource blocks (N) allocated to transmit positioning reference signals (PRS), the receiving frequency range (f) being smaller than the system bandwidth (N).
