Abstract
A stop position damping device () for a sliding element () that is slidably arranged in a sliding direction (R) relative to a stationary element () includes a structural unit () and an activating part () that are connected to one of the two elements (), () respectively. The structural unit () has a base carrier () at which a damping cylinder supporting arrangement () is pivotably mounted with one and around a first pivot axis (S). At the opposite free end (), the damping cylinder supporting arrangement () is supported without guidance at the base carrier () via a biasing element (), wherein the biasing element () creates a torque around the first pivot axis (S). In an area that is closer to the free end () as to the first pivot axis (S), a catch part () can move in a length direction (L) relative to the damping cylinder supporting arrangement (). If an unintended collision occurs between the activating part () and the catch part (), the damping cylinder supporting arrangement () with the catch part () can pivot away from the activating part ().
