Abstract

A molded articleis made of a resin materialcontaining cellulose fibers. The molded articlehas a surface portionthat is in a range satisfying T≤0.1×T where T is the thickness of the molded articleand Tis a distance from the surface of the molded article, and the molded articlesatisfies D≥1.1×D where D is an average cellulose concentration of the overall molded articleand Dis an average cellulose concentration of the surface portion. Thus, the molded article suppresses an increase in bending modulus while considerably improving a tensile modulus.
