Abstract

The watermelon seed nanoparticles may be synthesized by dissolving powdered watermelon seeds in a solvent to produce a first mixture, adding the first mixture dropwise to boiling water under ultrasonic conditions to produce a second mixture, sonicating the second mixture and drying the second mixture to produce watermelon seed nanoparticles. In an embodiment, the watermelon seeds may beseeds. In an embodiment, the watermelon seed nanoparticles may be included in a pharmaceutical composition, such as an antimicrobial or anti-cancer composition.
