Abstract
During stabilization of a metal band () on a roller path (), the band () is to be only minimally cooled via the stabilisation. A device for that includes multiple protective runners (), each oriented in the conveyor direction (R), for guiding the band (), wherein the protective runners () are arranged above the roller path () and the protective runners () are at a distance from one another in a width direction (B) of the band (). Multiple rows () of nozzles are arranged in the conveyor direction (R) or in the width direction (B) of the band. Each row () of nozzles includes multiple nozzles (). The nozzles () are set back in relation to an underside of the protective runners (), such that an arched band () cannot come into contact with the nozzles (). A compressed air supply () and a network of tubes or pipelines () supply the nozzles () with compressed air, wherein the nozzles () apply compressed air to the upper side of the band () in order to stabilize the movement of the band () on the roller path ().
