Abstract

A terminal device (UE) includes a reception unit configured to monitor multiple enhanced physical downlink control channels (EPDCCHs) on a Secondary cell. In a case that the Secondary cell is a licensed assisted access Secondary cell and a higher layer parameter of the Secondary cell indicates that a starting position of downlink transmission is either a Subframe boundary or a slot boundary, the terminal device is configured to monitor both a first set of UE-specific search space candidates in a first EPDCCH and a second set of UE-specific search space candidates in a second EPDCCH, in a subframe. A starting symbol for the first EPDCCH is specified by an index in a first slot in the subframe. A starting symbol for the second EPDCCH is specified by the index in a second slot in the subframe.
