Abstract
An interface modulerelays control signal communication between a main CPUand a light source control CPUand between the main CPUand a camera head CPU. The interface moduleincludes an FPGAhaving CPU I/Fstothat correspond to communication schemes of CPUs, and, respectively, and first and second storage units() and(). The FPGArelays a control signal between the main CPUand the light source control CPUand between the main CPUand the camera head CPU, while temporarily storing the control signal in the first and the second storage units() and(). Moreover, a first communication timing and second and third communication timings are set at timings shifted from one another.
