Abstract
A laser assembly () for generating an assembly output beam () includes a laser subassembly () that emits a plurality of spaced apart laser beams (), a beam adjuster (), a transform lens (A), a beam combiner (), and an output coupler (). The beam adjuster () adjusts the spacing between the plurality of laser beams (). The transform lens (A) focuses the laser beams () at a focal plane () and the beam combiner () is positioned at the focal plane (). The beam combiner () combines the lasers beams () to provide a combination beam (). Further, the output coupler () redirects at least a portion of the combination beam () back to the beam combiner () as a redirected beam (), and transmits a portion of the combination beam () as the assembly output beam ().
