Abstract

Drilling tool () for drilling openings in a cement ballast tank () of an oil rig in order to gain access to an internal space in the ballast tank comprising an electrical motor () driving a first shaft (); a pump () driven by the motor for pumping well fluid in through an inlet () and out through an outlet (); a gear () driven by the first shaft extending through the pump for reducing rotation of a second shaft (); and a drilling head () having bits and at least one drilling head fluid channel and being driven by the second shaft (), the outlet of the pump being fluidly connected with the fluid channel to pump well fluid out through the fluid channel.
