Abstract
A self-retracting lifeline assembly () includes a housing (), a shaft () fixed to the housing () against rotation, a drum () mounted for rotation on the shaft () and including a compartment () within the drum (), a lifeline () wound on the drum (), a brake module () carried on the shaft () and mounted within the compartment (), and a pawl mechanism () mounted on the drum () for rotation therewith.
