Abstract

A composition of algal extracts containing phycobiliprotein is provided. This composition not only effectively inhibit the growth of oral pathogens includingand, but also reduces the inflammation caused by those pathogens. Therefore, the phenomenon of alveolar bone loss in periodontal patients is mitigation, achieving the effect of prevention and treatment of periodontal disease.
