Abstract
A delivery unit () for an apparatus for making a beverage, in particular for making an espresso coffee. The delivery unit () includes a cup-shaped body () delimiting an inner chamber (), the cup-shaped body () including a lateral wall () and a bottom wall (). The delivery unit () also includes an infeed spout () for introducing beverage into the inner chamber () and an outfeed opening () through which the beverage can come out of the inner chamber (), the outfeed opening () being positioned in a central portion of the bottom wall (). In the inner chamber () the delivery unit () includes a partition wall () which surrounds the outfeed opening () and divides the inner chamber () into a peripheral region () and a central region () in which the outfeed opening () is located. The partition wall () includes a plurality of passage openings () for allowing the beverage to pass from the peripheral region () to the central region (). The infeed spout () is designed to introduce the beverage into the peripheral region () of the inner chamber () with a direction substantially tangential to the lateral wall ().
