Abstract

A device can receive a request to provide content to a set of devices in a service area. The request can include a set of content configuration parameters associated with the content. The device can obtain the content by using the set of content configuration parameters to search a content source. The device can separate the content into a set of content segments using a content configuration parameter of the set of content configuration parameters. The device can provide multicast session instructions to a multicast system to cause the multicast system to provide the set of content segments to the service area using a multicast session. The multicast session can be used by the set of devices to store one or more content segments of the set of content segments.
