Abstract

A light transmission device includes body that extends between a generally planer lower rim that is configured to collect light from a light source, and an upper rim that is configured to emit the light. The upper rim may be elliptical and emit the light in a generally uninterrupted elliptical light emission pattern, even if the light is transmitted to the lower rim in a linear or other non-elliptical pattern. The light transmission device may be located within a wireless networking device with wireless antennas located between the lower and upper rims of the body.
