Abstract

Disclosed is a sliding window for a building including a motorized drive device and device for locking an opening member relative to a window frame in a locked chained position, having a first sub-assembly on the window frame and a second sub-assembly on the opening member. Also disclosed is a method for controlling the operation of such drive device, including, during a configuration phase, a step of determining reference positions of the second sub-assembly relative to the first sub-assembly. Moreover, the method includes, during a control phase: receiving an order to control the movement of an electromechanical actuator by an electronic control unit, and moving the opening member at a first set speed or a second set speed, as a function of the order received, at least one preceding order executed and the position of the second sub-assembly relative to the first sub-assembly, according to the reference positions.
