Abstract

An ink composition that offers a recorded image having rubfastness and having high quality without causing a mottling phenomenon, an inkjet recording method using the same, and a colored article. The ink composition includes a compound represented by the following formula (1): a colorant, a dispersant, and a C4-C12 alkanediol, in which the content of the compound represented by formula (1) is 0.1 to 5% by mass. In the formula (1), Rrepresents a hydroxy group or the like, Rrepresents an alkyl group or the like, Rrepresents an alkyl group or the like, Rrepresents a hydrogen atom or the like, and Rrepresents an alkyl group.
