Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for channel estimation in a wireless communication system. A method for operating a transmitter comprises the operations of: transmitting a first reference signal through a first antenna; and transmitting a second reference signal through a second antenna, wherein the first reference signal includes a first Golay sequence, and the second reference signal includes a second Golay sequence.
