The connecting assembly also includes a lever arm coupled to the actuator connecting rod, defining a lever aperture, configured to be coupled to a wastegate valve, and moveable between first and second arm positions by the actuator connecting rod. The connecting assembly further includes a pin having a first pin portion disposed in one of the rod and lever apertures and having a first diameter, a second pin portion disposed in the other of the rod and lever apertures and having a second diameter larger than the first diameter, and a third pin portion having a third diameter larger than the first and second diameters to allow pivotable movement between the actuator connecting rod and the lever arm.
